St Augustine's First Giving Day
Published Friday 28 February 2025
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that St Augustine’s first ever Giving Day was a resounding success. Thanks to the enormous generosity and support from parents and the wider community, we beat our target of raising £5,000 to help fund class iPads and raised an amazing £5,600 (over £6,000 with Gift Aid) for the Helping Hands Fund!
The enthusiastic response to the Giving Day exceeded all expectations, with a 70% participation rate from across the school community. Additionally, following the campaign push, some parents have committed to making monthly pledges, which are transformative for our school.
We are so thankful to have such a committed community who continue to show so much support for St Augustine’s and are incredibly grateful for everyone who got involved in our first Giving Day, whether donating directly to the Fund or spreading awareness about the event.
Everyone at St Augustine’s thoroughly enjoyed the activities and challenges over the course of Giving Day. From the Reception and Years 1 & 2 Art Gallery to the Year 6 Big 60 Walk, all of our pupils and staff at the school got involved to take on challenges and help us reach our goal. Mr Kincaid, Headteacher, completed his own 60K cycle and got involved in the class challenges across the school to show his support of the event.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at St Augustine’s who made this such a special event for our pupils and to thank our community who have shown so much support and made it possible.
From everyone at St Augustine’s: thank you so very much.
